Hydrostatic testing checks whether a home’s drain system is holding water — no drop in level means no leaks below the slab. At a Terrell property, the double 4″ cleanouts were opened and a test ball placed between them to isolate the system. Water was introduced through a hose bibb until the riser was full, then monitored for 30 minutes.
The water level held. No drop, no leaks. The test ball was pulled, the system drained, and the cleanout caps replaced. Findings discussed with the homeowner.
