A homeowner in Dallas needed their existing home filtration system moved into the garage for easier access and better long-term serviceability. The original installation was located inside a finished space, which made replacing filters and working on the system inconvenient.
Our technician began by disconnecting the current filtration assembly and opening the wall to access the water lines. Using 1″ PEX and new fittings, we rerouted the cold-water supply through the stud bay toward the garage. Some concrete had to be chipped out to properly recess and route the lines, ensuring the new placement would sit cleanly inside the wall once drywall was repaired.
After prepping the new location, we mounted the filtration system in the garage and reconnected the inlet and outlet lines. The new layout provides better clearance, easier maintenance, and a much cleaner installation overall. We then flushed the filters and tested the entire setup for leaks—everything ran perfectly.
